Skinny Pelembe

Skinny Pelembe is a multi-talented wonder with a fierce passion to create, born in Johannesburg and raised in Doncaster (UK) he has honed his own truly unique musical delivery. Sun-dazzled California folk guitar filtered through the deeper corners of electronica and hip-hop make up the music. His lyrics, often taken from dreams, are delivered in a confident and unexpected voice. The impossible-to-pigeonhole artist was aptly first championed by the ever eclectic Gilles Peterson through his Future Bubblers program. He debuted with his self-released 2017 EP Seven Year Curse, then was signed to Gilles’ Brownswood recordings for Sleep More, Make More Friends EP.
